The model for identity categorization on this research is based on the work of Vignoles et al., (2011) in which the identity is categorized into personal, relational, collective, and material identity. Moreover, in analyzing the language that is used to state identity, this research used the work of Bloome, et al., (2005) in which they have found that in order to imply their identities, the students used a variety of linguistic means such as conjunction structures, authoritative figures, specific lexical items including names, complementary pairs, places, and highly evaluated items. Abstract
