Where is the Hope

Abstract

The author faces the harsh reality of the “gestalt of violence” within many inner-city communities and asks, “Where is the hope?” He suggests that within the play itself are two possible answers. There is witness to the presence of God and there is a call to community. The challenge is whether either will be heard as a call to change.
