The Nomos of Feasts and ‘Sacrifices’

Abstract

This chapter examines the Homeric uses of the verbs at the root of the word nomos that indicate, in varied ways, the act of distribution-sharing in the varied contexts of feasts and so-called sacrifices and related rituals.
