Abstract

Attacks against DHCP, such as DHCP starvation and Rouge DHCP, are some of the most dangerous threats in a network and should be avoided. With the aid of the Python Programming Language, this research will show how easy it is to conduct these attacks using scripts, and how they may be identified in the network. In order to simulate the real network architecture, this study used Python, Scapy, and GNS3 to investigate the impact of DHCP flooding and Rouge DHCP on the network.
