Their presence also in religious contexts like sanctuaries suggests ritual and votive actions more than luxury demonstrating, conclusion drawn from the analysis of the terracotta offers too. Abstract

The grave offerings and the traces of ritual actions should prove a valuable source for speculation about views on death in antiquity.
