Abstract

Subject of research: dissertation research by Elena Mikhailovna Stone on the topic: "Criminological characteristics of especially serious crime in the Far Eastern Federal District", presented in the specialty 12.00.08 criminal law and criminology; penal law. The purpose of research: to evaluate the presented study for compliance with the requirements for scientific qualification works of this type. Methods and objects of research: in the process of studying the dissertation research, E.M. Stone used various methods of scientific knowledge, namely: dialectical, formal-logical, system-structural, analysis, synthesis, etc. Main results of research: dissertation prepared by E.M. Stone, meets all the requirements that apply to scientific work of this type. The dissertation makes a certain contribution to the solution of the problem posed, is an actual independent scientific research, which has a complete form, is based on a sufficient empirical base, which ensures its reliability; the conclusions and proposals contained in it have scientific novelty and practical significance.
