Abstract

UPFC is expected to be the best device in enhancing power transfer capability because it can provide efficient controllability of power flow with a comparably small inverter capacity. System control devices are required to secure or improve transfer capability in the circumstances that the network power flow is subject to change with uncertainty due to increased power transactions in a power market.
