Abstract

The process of preparing porous composite ceramic material based on partially stabilized zirconium dioxide, including synthesis of foam-cryogel with the addition of ZrO2–7 % Y2O3, freezing, drying and sintering, was investigated. Microstructure and phase composition of porous ZrO2(Y2O3) ceramics in connection with reinforcement using ceramic fibers are discussed.
