Il καιρός medico e il καιρός del dialogo

Abstract

This article aims to clarify the medical notion of καιρός as it is employed by Plato in the Phaedrus and to show the specificity of Plato’s use of medical analogy. The analysis compares the uses of καιρός in Phaedrus 268a–c and in Protagoras 313a–314b with the definition of καιρός given in De locis in homine 44.
