Improving health outcomes

Abstract

There is already significant international experience of pharmacist-delivered immunisation services. However, at present in Australia the legislation does not allow pharmacists to administer vaccines. Consequently, these guidelines are not designed to provide guidance on pharmacist-administered immunisation services but they do acknowledge that pharmacists have a valuable role to play in the providing vaccines.
