The main aim of the work is to enumerate on the operation of flyback converter which finds its usage in low power applications like television sets, SMPs for computers, cell phone and mobile device chargers etc,. This paper provides performance analysis of open loop control and closed loop control using PID controller for a flyback converter. Abstract

Power Electronic Converters plays a vital role in efficient conversion and control of electrical power. It is predominantly used in low power applications. One among the power electronic converters are DC-DC Converter, which use power electronic devices to transform a DC voltage from one level to a altered voltage level as per the requirement. In this paper, analysis and simulation of open, closed loop control of a flyback converter is implemented. The main aim of the work is to enumerate on the operation of flyback converter which finds its usage in low power applications like television sets, SMPs for computers, cell phone and mobile device chargers etc,.
