Abstract

The paper provides experimental studies of mechanical behavior of composites in concentrators areas with respect to structural parameters. The authors obtained the results of assessment of the effect of stress concentrator size with respect to the parameters of fiber-laminated composite material structure in the study of processes of inelastic strain and destruction. The authors obtained experimental data about the impact of large-scale effect on the processes of initiation and development of defects in the stress concentrators areas in structurally non-homogeneous material under quasi-static loading. The authors have analyzed the evolution of non-homogeneous strain fields on the surface of composite samples of the studied structure.
