Abstract
A laser-driven optically pumped cesium M/sub x/-magnetometer (LsOPM) based on optical-r.f. double resonance is developed. The frequency of the oscillating magnetic field is locked to the Larmor frequency by a phase stabilization technique and the oscillation frequency is the magnetometer signal proper.
