Abstract

Permanent magnet flux switching motors is a combination of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM)) and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). Due to its robust rotor structure and high torque density, it has become a suitable option for many applications like automotive, electric power generation, home appliance and etc. This paper explores the design of a 4-pole stator and 2-pole rotor Permanent Magnet Flux Switching Motors (PMFSM) and its electromagnetic performance and the results obtained.
