SEA-COOS: Southeast Atlantic Coastal Ocean Observing System

Abstract

The SEA-COOS initiative is an eleven-institution collaboration to begin development of a regional coastal ocean observing system for the southeast (North and South Carolina, Georgia, Florida) United States. A three-pronged program of observing, modeling, and data management will be established while simultaneously conducting outreach studies of user needs and exploring governance models for the program in future years.
