DEMOGRAPHICS IN de Côte d'Ivoire

Abstract

The aim of the article is to examine the specific demographic situation in de Côte d'Ivoire. The article gives a general description of the country, notes the ethnic and linguistic diversity, and describes the imbalance in the level of urbanization and the geographical distribution of the population between the north and the south of the country. Considerable attention is also paid to the issue of immigration as a population growth factor contributing to ethnic diversity. An analysis of the current demographic situation leads to the conclusion that the country's population growth rate is significant and suggests that the population growth rate will be maintained until the end of the century due to the rather stable socio-economic development of the region.
