Abstract

It was found that the duration of hospital stay and SPO 2 levels after surgery were not different in patients given sugammadex and neostigmine [standardised mean difference (SMD)=-0.0042; 95% confidence interval (CI) (-0.0459-0.0375), p=0.8438; SMD=-0.0017; 95% CI (-0.01076-0.1111); p=0.9753]. Conclusion: The results of this meta-analysis show that sugammadex is no more effective in recovery from neuromuscular blockade than neostigmine in terms of hospital stay and SPO 2 .
