Abstract

A pattern reconfigurable microstrip quasi-Yagi active antenna is design by the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method in this paper. This antenna operates at 50GHz and its radiation patterns can be reconfigured by using four switchable states. The antenna can be applied to half-duplex communication and millimeter wave identification systems.
