Abstract

The paper presents a method based on the discrete wavelet transform for real-time detection of electromagnetic field data, radiated by a lightning return stroke channel (RSC). In the event of a cloud-to-ground lightning, the required data for locating the corresponding RSC is extracted and sent to the central station.
