Measuring acoustic responses with maximum-length sequences

Abstract

In several signal processing applications, a discrete-time model of a signal path which comprises of a loudspeaker and a microphone may be desired. For instance, the model can be used to choose the number of coefficients of an adaptive filter. In this work, different methods of obtaining such a model are compared on the basis of their precision and computational complexity. Experimental results from the application of the different methods are also presented.
