Abstract
The fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication system will require the multi-beam base station. By taking into account millimeter wave use, any antenna types such as an array, reflector and dielectric lens antennas are possible for a base station application. In this paper, designs of three types of base station antennas are achieved and some examples are shown. As for an array antenna, Butler matrix and Rotman lens are used for multi-beam circuit. As for a reflector antenna, an offset dual reflector configuration is employed. Reflector shaping method is shown. As for a dielectric lens antenna, lens shaping method is explained.
