Abstract

Serverless architectures are becoming computing standard and best practice. It is inevitable that more and more software systems will embrace the trend. Our tool toLambda provides automatic conversion of Java monolith application code into AWS Lambda Node.js microservices. During the refactoring, we provide assorted useful transformations of the original code and generate all the necessary artifacts to deploy the generated functions to the Cloud. In this paper we will describe the challenges we have faced including parsing, transformation, performance and testing.
