Proposta teórico-metodológica de inventário cultural participativo no Vale do Paraíba e Litoral Norte, São Paulo

Abstract

This article describes the experience of the collaborative network called Observatório da Paisagem in Paraíba Valley, São Paulo, Brazil, centered on the aggregation of agents and actions of common interest in issues related to the preservation of cultural heritage and cultural landscapes in the large context of the current discussion about the regional-metropolitan development. With the objective of preparing a theoretical-methodological path that promotes the expansion of investigations and social debate, we used the report of experiences and documentary and bibliographic analysis as the methodology to prepare this article. We came across a theoreticalmethodological proposition based on the conceptual orientations of the spirit of places and cultural landscape, as well as on the methodological challenge of carrying out participatory cultural inventories, which were discussed and agreed at the observatory.
