Budget Processes, Expenditures Assignments and Development Challenges at the State and Local Levels in the Gezira State, Sudan

Abstract

This paper examines budget processes [the preparation, execution and monitoring stages] and the fiscal performance of the Gezira State and its localities. It analyzes the fiscal performance of the state and localities [expenditures composition and trends], and addresses the topic of off-budget activities in the state.It also focuses on the development spending of the Gezira state, at both state and local levels.
