Abstract

The transmission control protocol (TCP) is a well established protocol for reliable data transport in today's IP based internetwork. With the introduction of new, mobile oriented access technologies TCP faces new challenges. This paper investigates the influence of mobile user hand-offs on the performance of TCP.
