Abstract

Ecosystems like Páramos and High-Andean forests have a very important role as regulators of the water process for the majority of rivers in Colombia. For this reason, a simulation, which shows the main functions performed by them, was developed. Simple reactive agents was the technique used in order to simulate these ecosystems and their components. the results obtained reaffirm the ecological importance both (paramos and High-Andean forests) for Equatorial countries.
