Abstract

In the recent years, using the fractional calculus has been increased in the applications of control engineering.This paper presents an Integer and Fractional PID controllers designed using particle swarm optimization technique for two different industrial applications, the first one is the heat solid. The simulation results show that the Integer PID controller can behave as well as the fractional PID controller if the parameters are well tuned.
