Abstract

A wideband microstrip patch antenna (MPA) has been presented for fifth generation (5G) wireless application. The antenna is etched on Rogers RT 5880 (lossy) material (2.2, 0.0009) having compact size of $20\times 20\times 0.79\mathrm{mm}^{3}$. It shows gain of 5.22 dB, directivity of 7.48 dBi and VSWR of 1.036 at resonant frequency 27.47 GHz.
