Abstract

We use a concise stochastic calculus to describe the interactions among the participants in web-based social networks. The stochastic nature of these interactions is given by the fact that the duration of the interaction can be represented by a stochastic rate of an exponential distribution. To ensure a more secure sharing of information in the systems described by our stochastic calculus, we use a probabilistic model checker to verify various (quantitative) properties of their dynamics.
