Abstract

Along with the GPS, smart phones have an accelerometer, a gyroscope, and other sensors. In essence, the phone's GPS, a gyroscope, and accelerometer works collectively to produce the ideal navigation system. In contrast to the traditional methods and equipment, mobile networks were formerly employed to achieve a wide geographical range to group low-cost materials utilizing cellphones. This paper reviews how smartphone sensors and remote sensing imagery could be used to monitor road surfaces.
