The challenge faced by students consisted of managing the genetic improvement of a dairy cattle herd in an environment with real management and economic constraints using an online software online. The students achieved a positive evolution of the results along the challenge, confirming the PBA as a useful tool in learning the application of animal breeding. On the other hand, the student surveys showed, in all universities, a high satisfaction with this type of learning, although they indicated possible improvements in the initial explanation of the challenge.
