INSPIRING BUILDING MATERIALS: BRICK IN REGIONAL ARCHITECTURE

Abstract

The role of construction materials in forming the image of regional architecture is considered. Possibilities of using brickwork for plastic enrichment of the design of building facades and making "local" character of structures are revealed. Brick, which has long been used in traditional construction in different countries, in the XXI century is again gaining wide popularity as an active plastic component of architecture.
