Managing Score/Orchestra within the IEEE MX Environment

Abstract

The logical connection of computer music synthesis languages, such as Csound and SASL/SAOL, musical scores and MIDI messages, with MX format allows to perform an integrating comprehensive approach. MX is a format oriented to a heterogeneous multimedia representation of music. The manipulation of such heterogeneous musical information opens an innovative and effective way for the management of score/orchestra information.
