Abstract

A comprehensive discussion that details some of the practical field execution methodologies for Shock Risk Assessment and Arc Flash Risk Assessment (PPE Categories [Table] Method and Incident Energy Analysis Method). This is one of the single most effective techniques to plan safe electrical work in an accountable and proactive manner. The terminology used will be exclusively from the NFPA 70E-15 article structure but it is important to note that the associated clause structure of CSA Z462-15 lends itself very well to the same workflow patterns.
