Archiwum Państwowe w Lublinie. Oddział w Radzyniu Podlaskim w latach 1952–2017

Abstract

Niniejszy artykuł jest próbą charakterystyki działalności Archiwum Państwowego w Lublinie Oddział w Radzyniu Podlaskim. Poruszono zagadnienia dotyczące historii oddziału radzyńskiego, a także jego poprzednika, Powiatowego Archiwum Państwowego w Łukowie. Ponadto przedstawia kwestie organizacji instytucji, realizowanych przez nią zadań, przechowywanego zasobu oraz umiejscowienia jej w strukturze Archiwum Państwowego w Lublinie. Tekst przybliża wynikający z ustawy o narodowym zasobie archiwalnym i archiwach zakres zadań oddziału oraz jego ważniejsze osiągnięcia w dziedzinie popularyzacji i działalności naukowej. Wskazuje również na istotną rolę instytucji jako ośrodka kulturotwórczego regionu. The Lublin State Archives Branch in Radzyń Podlaski in 1952–2017 The present article is an attempt to characterize the activity of the Radzyń Podlaski Branch of the State Archives in Lublin. The paper discusses the issues concerning the history of the Branch in Radzyń Podlaski and its predecessor – the District State Archives in Łuków. In addition, it presents the issues of the organization of this institution, implementation of its tasks, storage of the holdings, and its position in the structure of the State Archives in Lublin. The article presents the scope of tasks of the Branch, resulting from the Act on National Archive Resources and Archives, and its most important achievements in popularization and scientific activities. It also highlights the important role of the institution as a culture-forming center.
