Abstract

The paper focuses on detection of branch retinal vein occlusion as it is the most common type of occlusion seen leading to sudden vision loss. A novel method of Fractal Analysis is used for analysis of this disorder. This paper focuses on comparative study of methods to determine fractal dimension. The methods used are mass-radius method and box counting method. The implementation work using mass-radius and box counting method is also discussed along with the algorithm used. The algorithm of mass-radius and box counting method is applied on both normal as well as occluded retinal vessels and the results are obtained for the same.
