Abstract

The European Standard EN471 sets out the requirements for high-visibility (hi-vis) garments. The standard covers the area and colour of fluorescent materials and the retroreflectivity of reflective components in the garments. Requirements are defined for three classifications of garment, intended for use in low, medium and high-risk environments.
