Abstract

The OVID-19 pandemic was declared an Emergency situation by the Ministry of Health. Objective: To analyze scientific publications on the fight against the coronavirus in Brazil and their contributions to medical education. Method: This is a basic, exploratory, secondary, literature review study conducted in June 2020. Referential: The analysis of the bibliography shows that the measures of confrontation of the coronavirus have effects that must be considered, such as sedentarism, mental health problems and increase of domestic violence. In addition, the literature shows the importance of Primary Care in promoting the universality of access and assistance needed to overcome the established health crisis. Conclusion: The present study enabled a better understanding of the effects of the pandemic and provided the discussion of the practice of some relevant measures such as increased testing, assurance of personal protective equipment (PPE's) and isolation essential for confirmed cases. This being said, more scientific evidence is suggested to raise knowledge about this emergency situation and its contributions to the health of the population in general.
