Abstract

The ILS electromagnetic environment can easily be changed by large objects reflection, which result in degradation of the signal-in-space. Therefore, how to choose a suitable localizer antenna is very important. The higher the operating category of ILS is, the stricter requirements for the localizer course structure will be, especially for Category Ⅱ/III, In the paper, three typical antennas are compared by computer simulation, and the results show the scalloping of course structures under different types of antennas.
