Abstract

Implement principle of three-component AMR magnetometer is described. Electronic system of Towed Ocean Bottom Magnetometer (TOBM) based on AMR sensor, IMU, ARM7 microcontroller is designed. Sensor choosing tips are given. The whole hardware scheme includes signal conditioning circuit, high-definition data acquiring circuit, large-amount data storage and the software scheme based on the muC/OS-II real-time operating system and Embedded Filesystem Library(EFSL). Compared with traditional magnetometer, this system has advantages such as small size, low power consumption and good anti-interference ability. And it is an effective method to be applied in ocean bottom geomagnetism measurement.
