Abstract

This paper presents the correction actions proposed to achieve the Electromagnetic Compatibility between AC-50Hz 25kV electrified railway and the very sensitive medical equipment to be installed in a hospital over the railway tunnel. The proposed correction action is based on the floor-shielding of the area where the sensitive equipment will be installed. In order to validate the correctness of the solution, a simplified electromagnetic model had been developed and verified with some measurements, over existing railways operating in as similar as possible conditions.
