Abstract

In order to investigate the influence of crosslinking on high field dielectric properties of polyethylene, the observations of AC dissipation current waveforms of electron beam (EB) irradiated crosslinked polyethylene (IR-XLPE) films at 90/spl deg/C were carried out by using the samples with different gel fractions. The dielectric property at 90/spl deg/C depends not only on the gel fraction but also on the position of film from EB irradiation side.
