Abstract

We present results of studying optoelectronic generator of a new type. The generator includes a collinear acousto-optic cell operating in non-conventional variant of acousto-optic interaction, a photodetector which registers diffracted radiation, and a feedback circuit which transfers the photodetector signal to the cell transducer for excitation of acoustic waves in the cell. Various regimes of generation are examined - from sinusoidal to impulse ones. The experiment is fulfilled with a collinear acousto-optic cell fabricated of a calcium molybdate crystal.
