Abstract
The rationale of the paper is stipulated by the necessity to satisfy safety requirements to facilities under construction or situated under overhead power lines. Measurements of overall distances from the wire to the intersected objects are carried out according to industry regulations. Under conditions of drastic temperature changes and development of power line location, it is necessary to predict changes in defection amount to ensure normalized overall distances. The purpose of the research is to develop a methodology for operational calculation of expected changes of overall distances up to the intersected wires of overhead power lines at the facilities under conditions of temperature changes. The authors propose a method of a rapid analysis of deflection amount changes based on previous measurements of overall distances. The authors present results of deflection amount calculation using a standard methodology. Moreover, they present the calculation error analysis. The results of the research can be used at control of operation and reconstruction of overhead power lines.
