Abstract
With the advancement in Internet of Things (IoT) the need for efficient communication in low power lossy networks has gained much attention in recent days. In this paper, we propose a new multipath-enhanced routing scheme for low power lossy network based on LOADng routing protocol. We also modify two multipath routing schemes based on AODV to be used with LOADng protocol. The geometric random graph model based on Log-normal shadowing radio model is assumed to derive the basic characteristics of the network. The paper theoretically analyzes the energy overhead and communication overhead in terms of control traffic in bytes and number of control messages generated. The numerical results show better performance for our proposed scheme in terms of both energy and bandwidth efficiency.
