Abstract

Several high gain DC-DC converters are presented in the technical literature, including isolated and non-isolated solutions. Such converters are widely employed in single-phase low power PV and UPS. A comparative study involving four non-isolated topologies is carried out in this paper and considers features as efficiency, robustness, dynamics, cost, volume, and modularization capability. The study is supported by simulation and experimental essays to confirm theory and feasibility, respectively
