Codes requiring bipolar and multilevel operation are implemented using dedicated converters connected to the output ports of the microcontroller. The data source for the encoding system can be internal or external, being selectable by the user. The relevant parameters regarding the system operation are continuously presented on a local LCD. Abstract

This paper presents a microcontroller based digital encoder capable to generate baseband signals using different types of line codes.
