Abstract

In the paper the vibration-driven motion of a spherical body in a viscous fluid at finite Reynolds numbers is considered. Based on the direct numerical simulation the structure of hydrodynamic forces acting on the body from the fluid and their influence on the efficiency of propulsion are studied.
