Group decision support systems in industrial customer need assessment

Abstract

This report contributes to the earlier group decision support systems (GDSS) and customer need assessment literature, because rather few practical industrial experiences have been reported about utilizing GDSS in customer need assessment with detailed, analytical descriptions about the benefits and restrictions of GDSS. The authors have found no reports with implications to particularly industrial customer need assessment, which differs in many important respects from the assessment of consumers' needs.
