Abstract
The previous paper discussed the optoacoustic characteristics of a simple spectrophone cell containing Iodine vapor, in a room air background. Here we discuss the unique effects of oxygen in the background gas as revealed in the spectrophone data, and we relate some results concerning the use of the spectrophone in analyzing non-radiative phenomena in the excited states of molecular Iodine.
